Sunday Stash

I've not been doing much sewing lately, beyond cute headbands (more to come on that very soon), but I seem to be purchasing a lot of fabric lately. Since starting quilting back in 2012, I've built up a good sized stash and I'm sure I can get lots of projects done mostly with what I have, with the exception of solids for background/sashing, and possibly wide-backed fabrics.

The Fat Quarter Shop had some amazing birthday bash deals a while back and I just couldn't resist. As many of you know, I seem to be on an aqua kick and these lovely fabrics from Bonnie & Camille's Daysail line were delivered to my doorstep:

I also couldn't pass up the opportunity to stock up on some solids. That was something that was definitely lacking in my stash.

I'm really looking forward to this week when my son will be at summer camp for 3 hours each morning so I can get some time in my sewing room. Once school starts back up in 5 weeks (not that I'm counting or anything) then I can really get crackin' on some projects.

  1. Ooh, I wish I was in your boots...I need more aqua in my stash as well as solids...didn't take advantage of FQS sale that time...love them, especially their sales. Gosh those aquas you snagged are beautiful!

  3. Oh, love those aquas! I bought some fabrics from this range recently, but they didn't have aquas in stock - what a shame, looking at these!

  5. Aqua has been following me home too! I have stopped fighting the fabric purchases. I just need to learn how to sew faster.

  6. It is much harder to find time to sew during summer when the kids are home. I have been trying to sew early mornings before my daughter gets up. She is in her teens now and for the first time, has been sleeping late this summer. I can often get a walk in and a quick sewing session before the day really gets going.
Love the Daysail line. Nice choice!

  9. I like those aquas especially the text print. Nice solids as well. I'm having a sewcation this week...but so far hanging in the backyard is what I want to do.

  10. I don't have many aquas in my stash, the ones you got would be perfect.
