Chalk Quilting

We've had some beautiful sunny weather this week - sorry for those who are entrenched in snow right now - it's just one of the advantages to living in Florida. With the warmer temps my son has been wanting to spend his time outside and asked to "draw on the floor" (translation: draw on the sidewalk with chalk). Of course, I couldn't just sit back and watch. He wanted me to draw too. So what did I do? Started doodling free motion quilting designs of course! It's hard to get a smooth rhythm using fat sidewalk chalk but I still feel like I got some fun practice in.

Besides, I don't think anyone else on the block is going to have cool designs like this on their driveway!
