Sewalong Fabric Selection

It didn't take long for me to decide on a project for the log cabin Sewalong. I got an adorable teapot for Christmas that I absolutely love (thanks Kristen & Joe)! Since I use it every day it never gets put away so I want to make a placemat for it to sit out on the kitchen counter. Here are the fabrics I've chosen for the project. I'm hoping there's enough contrast between the greens and tans. I plan to fussy-cut the little elephants in the center square of each log cabin block. They're just so cute! Can't wait to get started!
